Valley Harvest Church family and friends,
June 12, 2008
First I would like to give honor to Pastor Joe and Collette Hand for all the years of hard work and giving of themselves tirelessly to further the Kingdom of God. We pray that as they enter into this new chapter of life called “retirement” a/k/a missions, vacations in Italy or where ever God may lead them next, that they both know what an honor it was for each of us to have served with them and the gift they will be to all those that God chooses to share them with.
I would also like to say thank you to everyone. You have been wonderfully supportive to both Heather and I in this new time of our lives. We all know change is not easy, but with God’s help we accept this responsibility with great joy and we look forward to see what God is going to do with the wonderful foundation that Pastor Joe and Collette built through their years of ministry here.
We had a powerful time of worship and word this last Sunday at the One Lord Sunday service. How great it is to gather with the body of Christ; to lift up the name of Jesus in one spirit for one purpose. I have been praying about what God will do through each one of us as we are in unity and our love for each other grows…our Lord lifted up…a great harvest of souls…the Kingdom advanced…people set free…people healed…the Church running the race set before them with dutimus power. Wow! I better save the rest for Sunday.
As we are going through our series on “The Calling and Gifts of God” in the coming weeks be in prayer God will reveal Himself to us more and more each day. If you are visiting our website, I would like to take this opportunity to invite you to join us for worship and the word; Sundays at 10:30 a.m. and Wednesdays 7:00 p.m. May God richly bless each of you and your families. See you Sunday.
In His service
Pastor Barry
